Anecta advisor to Helleborusskolan on sales to Cedergrenska

Cedergrenska has acquired 100% of the shares in Helleborusskolan Täby AB and Helleborusskolan Österåker AB from the founder Lotta Curbo. Lotta will continue to develop the business in the same way as before, with support from Cedergrenska and will also support Cedergrenska’s other activities in their future student health process.

Helleborusskolan is an elementary school F-9 for normally gifted students in the autism spectrum and with diagnoses in, for example, ADHD. Helleborusskolan has a turnover of just over SEK 100 million, 120 employees, 420 students aged 6 to 15 and a large number of students in the queue.

Lotta Curbo, founder and principal of Helleborusskolan, comments:

We are so infinitely proud of what we have achieved so far and that we have now found a partner who can support us in taking Helleborus’ next step in our development. The need for our business is enormous and I think we will be able to offer even better education when getting support in organization and other parts. This gives us even better opportunities to devote ourselves entirely to our mission; to help our students reach the elementary school’s knowledge requirements, develop their self-knowledge and ultimately go out into society as young adults with opportunities to take part in a meaningful working life.

Cedergrenska is an education group that conducts education for children and students from preschool to post-secondary education. The company is listed on First North.

Anecta comments

We had several stakeholders involved in this process. Those who in the end were most anxious to acquire this quality company and went on in two bidding rounds were not the ones we had thought in advance. This can happen even when we know the market players well.
