Anecta completes a successful buy side mandate after advising Diploma Plc in the acquisition of Simonsen & Weel
Anecta and Translink Corporate Finance International have advised the listed British life science company Diploma Healthcare Group in the acquisition of Simonsen & Weel, Sweden and Denmark’s leading distributor of various MedTech products. Diploma Healthcare Group consists of seven companies with a combined turnover of around SEK 2 billion and an adjusted operating margin of around 20%. Simonsen & Weel have achieved significant growth over the recent years and is expected to maintain its organic growth in Denmark as well as inorganic growth in Sweden through a smaller additional acquisition.
Anecta and Translink conducted solid market screening based on Diploma’s demand in 2019. Of the 10 candidates identified on the Danish market, Diploma continued discussions with four potential target companies, resulting in the acquisition of Simonsen & Weel which met all the requirements that Diploma had presented to Translink.
We want to thank Translink for facilitating Diploma’s entry into Northern Europe. Henrik Shröder [Translink Denmark] was helpful in all phases of the transaction. Thanks to Translink Corporate Finance, we look forward to many years of continued growth in the region.”
– Brett Valliant, Corporate Development Director, Diploma Healthcare Group.
