Anecta advises Radscan Intervex AB in the sale and carve-out of M.E. Solutions AB to Instalco.

Västerås-based business Radscan has made a strategic decision to focus on its core activities in industrial energy technology and environmental protection. As a result of this, Radscan decided to sell off M.E. Solutions AB of which they had acquired the majority of shares in 2015.

M.E. Solutions AB is specialised in the design and installation of emission control and ballast water treatment systems in the maritime sector. They have a strong position on the market and are one of few players with contracts to upgrade Carnival Corporation’s and Royal Caribbean Cruise’s fleets, which together constitute around 60% of the global fleet in the cruise industry.

MESAB has its main office in Stockholm and was founded in 2009 by Anders Sjöström who is currently Key Account Manager and is part of the company’s management along with CEO Niklas Rylin.

The purpose of acquiring MESAB is to strengthen and widen our activities within our industry. MESAB is a niche in installations in the maritime market that we have not been part of before. The company is well-managed with good profitability and great entrepreneurship, explains Per Sjöstrand, CEO of Instalco.

Instalco is acquiring 100% of the shares in Marine M.E. Solutions AB including subsidiary companies.
